After working for years in the industry, Kelvin Butcher decided to use his experience in a new venture to personally assist clients in need of air monitoring services by starting a new business – Air Hazards
You can be assured of experience –
Kelvin is a Chartered Chemist (No. 17853) accredited by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and is on their National HS&E Division Committee. His specialty is measuring hazards in the air and he performed his first air monitoring back in 1974.
You can deal with an expert who can talk your language –
Since 1999 Kelvin has specialised in giving advice and training on a wide variety of air hazard monitoring equipment and methodologies to various companies, fire services, water authorities, occupational hygienists, local governments and the Department of Defence.
He is currently sub-contracting to an R.T.O. delivering the following training:
- CPCCDE3014A Remove non-friable asbestos (Nationally Recognised Training)
- Class B Asbestos Removalist Refresher Training
- 2 & 4 hour Asbestos Awareness Training

During Kelvin’s working career he has prided himself on his integrity, persistence and maturity while trying to keep what he does enjoyable and, at times, entertaining! He is passionate about all matters involving hazards in the air.

Kelvin is an active member of the RACI Victorian Health Safety and Environment group which meets monthly.
Kelvin is also a member of the Dangerous Goods Advisory Group and the Chemical Hazards Communication Network.
